CMP presents: Financial Software Applications and Market Research

Nov 3, 2020 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM
Online

Registration Deadline: Nov 2, 2020 04:15 PM

Are you interested in pursuing a career in investment banking? Want to learn more about capital markets and investing in stocks? Join us and get all the answers you seek.

The Telfer School of Management, in conjunction with student leaders in the Capital Markets Program (CMP), is hosting a series of four virtual sessions throughout the fall 2020 to provide students with a broader understanding of high finance. This industry is highly competitive, and many firms recruit undergrads up to 2 years in advance of graduation. Through these workshops, you will explore the diverse career paths in the financial industry and receive precious advice on how to land your dream job in finance. In addition, the workshops will broadly cover financial analysis and the skills you need to make it into the industry.

In this third session, you will learn about:

  • the various software available in the Financial Research and Learning Lab such as Bloomberg, Factset, Capital IQ;
  • how to find key information to conduct market research and company analysis;
  • how to source financials from Google.

This workshop is facilitated by Danielle Michaud, Financial Research and Learning Lab Manager and the students in the Capital Markets Program (CMP) who are responsible for managing the Telfer Capital Fund (TCF).

We welcome students from all options and highly encourage students enrolled in finance to participate.
